FIELD TRIP B: WILDERNESS INQUIRY CANOE TOUR
Tuesday, August 25 | 8:30am - 11:30pm
Add-On Cost: $160/person
Experience Minneapolis from the water with a guided canoe tour along the Mississippi River.
Led by Wilderness Inquiry, this outdoor tour uses large, stable 10-person North canoes that allow attendees to paddle together in a group setting. Each canoe will include a Wilderness Inquiry staff member to guide the experience and provide interpretation along the route, including wildlife, culture, and visible waterworks projects from the river.
The full experience includes a pre-trip safety talk, loading and unloading, paddling, and a closing circle. The paddle portion will run approximately 90 minutes to two hours, depending on water levels and weather conditions.
This tour is a great fit for attendees looking for a more active, outdoor StormCon experience while gaining a different perspective on the Mississippi River, local ecology, and Minneapolis’ connection to water infrastructure.
Please note: This tour takes place entirely outdoors and will proceed rain or shine, except in severe weather. Participants should dress for the weather and bring a hat, sunglasses, and/or sunscreen. Waivers will be required prior to the event.
