New York City Department of Environmental Protection
Sara Lupson is an environmental staff analyst at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, where she works on a wide range of issues related to NYC’s municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4). Ms. Lupson was a key member of the team that developed NYC’s first MS4 Stormwater Management Program and now supports its implementation. In particular, she works on efforts to control floatable trash in waterways and educate the public on stormwater pollution prevention. Prior to joining the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, Ms. Lupson worked as an advocate for a cleaner Hudson River and more sustainable infrastructure. Ms. Lupson holds a Master’s degree in engineering and public policy from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Lehigh University.
