Margaret Ales, P.E., is the Brown and Caldwell project manager for the Shoreline Surface Water System Capacity Modeling project. She has 17 years of surface water resources consulting experience, including stormwater and wastewater master planning, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, gap analyses for National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) requirements, and site investigations for urban flooding to develop conceptual designs. Margaret received her B.S. & M.S in Civil Engineering at University of Washington. Margaret is known for tricking her family into driving by her work project sites during rainy weekends. She leads the Seattle office K thru 12 STEM education outreach program (BC STEAM) and volunteers with other Brown and Caldwell staff at local afterschool STEM classes and regional youth science and engineering fairs.
