Dr. Kathleen Wolf is a Research Social Scientist with the College of the Environment at the University of Washington (Seattle). Her research focus is the human dimensions of urban forestry and urban ecosystems, particularly human health. Another interest is the translation of scientific evidence for use in local government policy and planning concerning green infrastructure and public health. She is a member of or has served with national organizations that promote nature in cities: the Environmental Design Research Association, the International Society of Arboriculture, Society of American Foresters, the Transportation Research Board national committee on Landscape and Environment, the Washington State Community Forestry Council, U Penn Institute for Urban Research Scholars, technical contributor on human well-being to the Sustainable Sites Initiative, and most recently an awardee in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Interdisciplinary Research Leadership program.
