Michael Perry, PE, brings over a decade of experience in local government and currently serves as the Senior Stormwater Operations Manager and Lakes Manager for the City of St. Petersburg. In his role with the Public Works Administration, he provides leadership and technical expertise across a broad range of initiatives, including regulatory compliance (NPDES), real-time sensing and data collection, green infrastructure design, watershed management, community engagement, stormwater operations, and data visualization.
Michael holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida. Prior to his current role, he served as a principal researcher with the Florida State Materials Office, where he authored several technical papers on concrete materials. He is an active member of both the Florida Stormwater Association and the Florida Lake Management Society and has presented on topics such as stormwater master planning and urban lake restoration.
