Description
This panel examines how Minnesota's cities, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) and the Minnesota Cities Stormwater Coalition (MCSC) work together to manage stormwater across the state. Panelists will discuss shared tools and resources, including the Minimal Impact Design Standards (MIDS), the Minnesota Stormwater Manual, MS4 permitting, stormwater research initiatives, and the Smart Salting program. The session will also address practices unique to Minnesota's regulatory landscape, such as the MS4 pre-public notice permitting process, and how collaboration among state, municipal and coalition partners helps municipalities meet permit requirements while building long-term stormwater management capacity.
