Sarah Anderson manages the Division of Green Infrastructure (DGI) in Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI). She is responsible for developing a strategic, innovative, citywide stormwater program focused on the equitable implementation of green infrastructure (GI). Through the creation of a citywide basin prioritization, innovative design guidelines, and a unique maintenance structure, the GI budget has grown from 0 dedicated dollars in 2015 to over $43 Million dollars in the current 6-year CIP. Sarah has won the Public Works Employee of the Year Award, 5281 Mayors Sustainability Award, and APWA’s Green Program of the Year Award.
