Daniel Gummersheimer is the Public Works Director and City Engineer for the City of Brentwood, Missouri. He came to Brentwood in July 2016 after serving as a Project Manager Engineer on water and wastewater infrastructure improvements for a water utility company. Prior to that experience, he served as a Division Manager at a private company specializing in contract operations of water, wastewater, and full public works services for municipalities, water districts, and sewer districts in Missouri and Iowa. Prior to contract operations, he serviced as the Project Manager and Utilities Engineer for relocation, replacement, and new installation of water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, natural gas, and electrical utilities as part of the Cross County MetroLink Expansion into St. Louis County which included Brentwood and nearby communities such as Clayton, Richmond Heights, Maplewood, and others.
Mr. Gummersheimer has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois- Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Business Administration and Project Management degrees from Keller Graduate School of Management in St. Louis. In addition, he is licensed as a Professional Engineer in both Illinois and Missouri. Lastly, his experience has included efficiency improvements in the operations of water and wastewater facilities, public works, and overall functions of public and private infrastructure.
