Dr. Jong-Yeop Kim earned his Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering with honors from AJOU University in South Korea in 1998. He later received his M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2003. During his master's program, he worked in the stormwater and wastewater treatment industry in Columbus, GA. In 2006, he obtained his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering Sciences from the University of Florida (UF). He continued at UF as a Lecturer and Postdoctoral Research Associate for two years before becoming an Assistant Professor in Environmental Engineering at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) in 2009. Dr. Kim's research focuses on stormwater and wastewater processes, sampling methods, source control for metals and nutrients, and disinfection processes. He has presented at national conferences and published in various esteemed journals.
